China Glaze Channelesque vs. Sephora by OPI Metro Chic

This now discontinued China Glaze polish has been getting a bit of attention lately, and I can definitely understand why.

China Glaze Channelesque
It's a beautiful dark grey-mauve colour that applies smoothly and perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

If you don't already have it, this may be a bit hard to find because of the fact it's discontinued. Luckily, Sephora by OPI Metro Chic is a great dupe.

Channelesque, Metro Chic, Channelesque, Metro Chic

You can see that they're quite similar. Channelesque leans a bit more mauve, and Metro Chic more grey. Love them both!

Do you have either of these?

  2. Pretty colour. When I wanted Channelesque it had sold out and I didn't want Metro Chic when I had the chance to get it. Not really too fussed about not owning either but they're nice shades.

  6. This colour is gorgeous, I prefer over Metro Chic as it has more purple undertone to it. I love it. It's too bad they discontinued it :(

  8. Ooh thanks for the useful comparisons! I was DYING to get Channelesque, but I already have Metro chic, and I think I actually like that better! Thanks so much for saving me from another lemming!

  9. I got metro chic last year...I love it. I never can find an opi that I like but always an opi for sephora, which sucks since it cost more.

  12. Hello! New to the site and love your reviews. I bought the Sally Hansen dupe, Commander in Chic, and it is an affordable option to this! Looks exactly the same and no problems with texture or chipping.
