My New Favorite Eyeliner Brush

I got my first fluidline years ago, when MAC had just released fluidlines. Up until recently, I've been using the MAC 209 brush to apply them. I occasionally switch it up and use a small angled brush.

That's all changed... I've found a new love. Let me introduce you to my Quo bent eyeliner brush.

It has a fine tip that gives a firm and precise application of product. I can't believe how easy it is to apply eyeliner with this! I think it would be great for those starting out too, it makes things almost fool proof.

For those of you who haven't heard of Quo, they are a Canadian brand available at Shoppers Drug Mart stores. If you're in the US, Sonia Kashuk makes a similar brush, and I'm sure you could find something similar in other brands as well.

I really love Quo brushes in general and have a bunch of them. They're a great deal, especially if you are able to snag them during one of their 40% off sales they have every so often.

What is your favorite brush to apply fluidlines/gel eye liners?

  1. Benefit makes one too... it's $16 so probably more expensive than your Quo on sale. =)

  2. I've tried this brush and I really liked it; I agree that it's a great brush for beginners. I've since switched to the MAC 210 because I find that I can get a much thinner line with it.

  3. I have 2 that are the same from crown. They were really cheap, but one of them had the bristles go inside the metal. No complaints for the money, but if it happens to my other one the Quo one looks great.

They do a great job for lining.

  4. I use Annabelle's slanted flat brush for gel liners and love it. I actually have a similar one like yours from Crown brush @ IMATS, should try it out :)

  5. I'm curious... Wouldn't it be harder to put on...? because of the angle?

(sorry make-up dunce here! i have a horrible time putting on make-up.)

  6. Hm, interesting shape, I think it would require getting used to the angle :o but if you say it's that good!

  7. How funny...I just picked up the Sonia Kashuk bent liner brush this afternoon! I can't wait to test it out. I have the Smashbox angled brush but the bristles are not dense enough for me.

  8. @Jeweled Thumb - I've actually never tried Benefit brushes!

    @Naomi - I haven't tried the 210, though if I remember correctly, it's a thinner version of the 209 which I really like.

@Jill-O - I've heard good things about Crown brushes, though I haven't tried any.

@blu3 - Another vote for the Crown brush! I'll have to check them out if they're at the IMATS again this year.

@The Asian Pear - Surprisingly, the slant makes it feel more natural when I'm applying than a plain straight brush. I still have off makeup days, you just need to practice and then it comes more easily. :)

@Magdalena - It was so easy to go from using the MAC 209 to that, the angle felt really natural right away!

@Deanna Loves Pretty Things - Hopefully you like the Sonia Kashuk one, I have heard great things about their brushes. :)

  9. I wanted to try that brush but I find it kind of pricey for a drugstore brand so I never got it, lol, though I recently got a similar brush from coastal scents (which I believe is the same than the one from crown) I haven't had time to wash it though, lol
Now I really wanna try it :D

  10. I was going to ask about the comparison with the Sonia Kashuk brush. I need that brush in my life. The MAC 209 just doesn't do it for me. Unfortch, I haven't been able to find that brush and it's sold out online.

  12. Wow, awesome that you mention this! This is my HG brush for gel liner. Before I started wearing my contact frequently, I had to get "thisclose" to the mirror to line my eyes...this brush saved me!

I think I might have the Sephora brand one, though...not Quo.

  13. I use the Smashbox one in my kit. It's soo easy to do eyeliner on other people with a bent liner brush.
